Happy customers, empty Google profile
Most stores have the ratio backwards: hundreds of satisfied orders a month, and a Google profile showing 23 reviews, the newest from last year, plus one angry outlier dragging the average. It isn't that customers refuse to review.
It's that unhappy customers are self-motivated while happy ones need to be asked, at the right moment, with zero friction. An email request that's three steps and one login away doesn't clear that bar. A WhatsApp rating request with one tappable button, arriving two days after they've started enjoying the product, does.
Reviews compound quietly: they move your map ranking for local searches, your conversion rate for first-time visitors, and your seller rating on marketplaces. That makes the ask worth automating rather than remembering.
How a post purchase review message works
Growcord watches order status. When an order turns delivered, from Shopify, WooCommerce or your own system via webhook. A timer starts. After the delay you choose (two to three days is common practice: long enough to use the product, soon enough to remember it), an approved template goes out: a thank-you by name, one line asking for a review, and a button that opens your review page directly. Non-responders can get a single gentle reminder a few days later. The flow stops there.
You can also run a feedback-first flow with a no-code bot: ask "How was your order, 1–5?" inside the chat. A low score opens a conversation in the team inbox so a person can fix the problem while it's still fixable, and everyone, whatever they scored, still receives the public review link, which keeps you inside Google's rules (more on that below).
What Growcord automates
Timed from delivery, not dispatch
The ask lands after the product has been unboxed and used, two or three days past delivered status, your choice.
One tap to the review page
A URL button opens your Google, Amazon or store review form directly. No searching, no login maze.
Feedback-first flows
Optionally collect a 1–5 rating in chat first, so problems reach your team before they reach the internet.
Bad experiences get a human
Low ratings open a conversation in the shared inbox while there's still time to fix the order.
Asked, read, replied
See how many requests delivered and were read, and tune the delay and copy from your own numbers.
Policy-safe defaults
No incentives, a one-reminder cap, approved templates, the defaults keep you inside Google's and Meta's rules.
The flow, end to end
Trigger on delivered
The store integration or a webhook marks the order delivered and the timer starts. Nothing sends while the parcel is in transit.
Wait the right number of days
A configurable delay, most stores pick two or three days, so the experience is fresh but the product has been used.
Send the template
A thank-you by name, one line asking for the review, and a button to the review page. Meta-approved format.
One reminder, then stop
Non-responders get a single follow-up a few days later. Nobody gets a third ask, that's how numbers get blocked.
Collecting Google reviews on WhatsApp without breaking the rules
Two rulebooks apply, and both are easy to respect. Google's: don't offer discounts, gifts or contest entries in exchange for reviews, and don't gate, soliciting reviews only from customers you've screened as happy violates their policy. Ask everyone, fix problems fast, and let the average take care of itself.
WhatsApp's: the customer must have opted in, your checkout notice covers post-purchase messages, see the opt-in guide. The message must be an approved template, and Meta will usually class a review request as a marketing conversation. Cap the reminders at one; repeated asks get you blocked, and blocks feed the quality rating that governs your messaging limits.
The arithmetic
Marketing conversations run roughly ₹0.78–0.88 in India, so asking 500 delivered customers costs about ₹425 a month. What comes back is your variable, not ours: if 8% follow through, that's 40 new reviews a month, more than many stores' entire historical total.
If it's 3%, it's still 15. Plug in your own delivery volume; the cost is a rounding error next to what you spend to earn each of those customers in the first place. Template wording that gets approved fast is covered in our template examples.
The automation ships with every Growcord plan, Basic at ₹299/month, ₹99/month billed yearly, and the free tier (1 number, 50 conversations a month) is enough to trial it on a week of orders. Meta's fees are billed as credits at Meta's published rate, with no Growcord markup, and the subscription carries a 7-day unconditional money-back guarantee. The pricing page has the full plan table.

Frequently asked questions
How do I ask for a Google review on WhatsApp?
Send a short approved template a few days after delivery with a button linking straight to your Google review URL, the short review link from your Google Business Profile. Growcord automates the whole thing: the delivered status starts a timer, the template goes out on schedule, and the customer is one tap from the review form.
When is the best time to send a review request?
Two to three days after confirmed delivery works for most products. The customer has used the item but still remembers the purchase. Same-day requests catch people before they've opened the box; requests weeks later get ignored. Growcord lets you set the delay per flow, so test what fits your product.
Can I offer a discount for leaving a review?
No. Google's review policy prohibits money, discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, and marketplaces like Amazon have similar rules, violations can get reviews removed or the profile penalised. Run coupons as separate campaigns and keep the review ask incentive-free. On WhatsApp a plain, polite ask performs fine without one.
Is a review request a marketing or utility message on WhatsApp?
Meta generally classes review requests as marketing conversations, which cost roughly ₹0.78–0.88 in India at current rates (checked August 2026). Growcord shows the category and the estimated credit cost while you are still building the template, and bills Meta's fee as credits at exactly Meta's published rate, no markup on top. The plan fee stays flat however many reviews you ask for.
What if the customer had a bad experience?
That's what the feedback-first flow is for: a bot asks for a 1–5 rating in chat, and a low score opens a conversation in the shared inbox so your team can fix the order while it matters. Don't hide the public review link from low scorers, though, selective solicitation is against Google's rules. Fixing problems fast is the honest lever.
Can I collect reviews for Amazon or Flipkart listings too?
Yes, the button in the template can link to any URL, including a marketplace review page for the product. Mind each marketplace's own solicitation policies, which also prohibit incentivised or selectively-targeted review requests, and keep the same one-reminder cap you'd use for Google.
